In my opinion a good case needs to...
1. Protective (Obviously)
2. Has outside pocket for damp stuffs
3. Include backpack style strap (try to carry your horn on one hand or shoulder all the time and you'll understand)
4.Contour shaped (because I like it)
Bam "Classic Tenor Sax Case" has all the quality I mentioned above.
I personally like this one better than the popular "Cabine" that has very limited storage space and airtight for some reasons that I don't understand. Not to mention the problematic latches that come off with slightest touch. In this case, I think zippers will do just fine. I also play bassoon and use custom case that use zipper for years, travel by bus everywhere, and even bring it abroad a few times with no problem at all.
Some of you might like these 'innovations' that suppose to make our life easier. But for me this "Classic" fit my needs perfectly.
